Border Children.
The photo-essay Children on the Border shows the life of the children of Belarusian frontier guards. These children live together with their parents on frontier posts which usually lie near vast forests and unpopulated land frequently several tens of kilometers from other settlements, such as the frontier posts in the Belovezskaja region. Children spend the majority of their time on the frontier posts, leaving them only to attend schools in the nearest villages. Also, the children participate indirectly in protecting the border through their work as Young Assistants to the Frontier Guard.
